I was born and educated in Britain where I also taught Law and Economics. Marriage brought my life and career to Manhattan with weekends spent in the Hudson Valley.

In 1980, I began my own business, The Owen School of Business & Language.

When my son was born, in 1987, I sold my business to be a full time wife and mother.

In 1994, we bought a house in Stone Ridge and became full time residents of Ulster County while retaining a small apartment in Manhattan.
I also became involved in Historic preservation and am currently on the board of Clermont Historic Site, one of the many glorious historic houses in the Hudson Valley region.

Since my first purchase in 1975, I have been very successfully buying and selling real estate for myself, both in New York and London.
The years of running my own business gave me the confidence and personal stature needed to interact well with both buyer and seller clients, attorneys, inspectors, appraisers,etc.
My proven instincts for real estate and talent for quickly identifying the needs and preferences of my Buyer clients saves them time, frustration and ultimately money.

Living in Manhattan for 22 years while owning a country home in this area and subsequently moving to the Hudson Valley with my family has provided me with invaluable experience when helping city and 'out of area' buyers find their new home.
I provide these and all my other experiences to my clients and their real estate tranasctions.
